Shinya founded Surge Life Electrical in 2018. The proud father to 4 young kids, Shinya knew he needed to start his own business to provide for his family. He brings patience, kindness and dedication as well as skill, knowledge and commitment to his work.
Shinya hustled for a year before bringing on Adam as his right-hand man. A ‘dream team’ who delivered professional, quality electrical work, with a smile. As the business grew and skills were perfected, the range of services that Surge Life offered, multiplied. This required the need to employ Jordan and Liam. With 4 quality tradesmen, we are now able to offer a broader selection of electrical services across a greater area. All members of the Surge Life Electrical team are Registered Master Electricians with current practising licences and fully-supervised electrical apprentices. The Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) promotes safety by ensuring that all electricians are certified and competent to use tools and technology safely. The EWRB also ensures regular competency training and refresher courses. Our technicians are members of the EWRB and undergo training regularly to remain competent and knowledgeable in their field.
The Master Electricians logo is a promise that the work we do for you is certified and comes with a $20,000 workmanship guarantee. It’s added reassurance for you that we’re providing you with a safe and quality service for your electrical needs.

Shinya Manabe
Owner/operator of Surge Life Electrical, Shinya is your first point of contact and the one to ensure the smooth running of your project.
Adam Smith
Adam lives in the Porirua area with his wife and baby Jordie. Adam enjoys spending his time on the golf course and playing rugby for the Poneke Ruffnuts.
Jordan Bedlington
Jordan and his wife live in the Hutt Valley, they recently welcomed a new baby and enjoying this new chapter in their lives.
Liam Wyllie
Liam is our Apprentice at Surge Life Electrical. He has worked hard on his exams and is close to completing his theory sign offs.
